10/15/2004 This case involved children  who were passengers in a bus manufactured by Van Hool and owned and operated by Crystal Transportation whic was carrying students from the 42 children from Oak Hill Middle School to a concert in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Numerous other children on the bus were injured. They claimed that the driver lost control of the bus after speeding into a hairpin turn on a highway exit. The bus flipped over on its side. Settled for a total of $15 million.
1/11/2002 This case involved a wrongful death claim by family of Karen Sharpe, who was murdered by Richard Sharpe, a millionaire dermatologist. Richard Sharpe was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. He claimed he killed his wife in a haze of drugs, alcohol and madness, but a jury ruled in November that the cross-dressing dermatologist knew what he was doing when he burst into her home and gunned her down with a deer rifle in July 2000. Settled for $5 million.
10/30/2000 This case involved a wrongful death claim where Vladislav Mouzytchenko was hit, dragged and eventually suffocated to death under a Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority trolley on Christmas Eve 1994. He was 36-years-old when he was killed and was survived by his aunt and widow. Plaintiff's claimed that Vladislaw's injuries were minor and he would have survived had an MBTA emergency crew not taken 30 minutes to travel the 1.7 miles to the scene of the accident. 1/20/2000 This case involved products liability wherein Pondimin (fenfluramine and phentermine) - Wrongful death claim relating to the death of Mary Linnen, who died in early 1997 at age 30 of primary pulmonary hypertension after taking the popular diet drug cocktail "fen-phen" for a little more than three weeks. Settlement of $10,000,000.
